GMC Sierra 1500 delivers on two counts – design and performance. Whether it comes with the Duramax Diesel engine, or standard gasoline engine, Toole’s Garage will get your Sierra serviced and back on the road. In 2015 by J.D. Power and Associates ranked GMC Sierra the most dependable light load and heavy load pickup truck. Just a year before, 2014 Sierra 1500 had problems with headlights, ac not working, and with ac condenser leaking. But the more recent models show few problems – just provide your Sierra 1500 with regular maintenance, and it will give you years of faithful service.
GMC Sierra 2500 is your solution when the 1500 will just not do. GMC Sierra 2500 offers almost 4000lb payload capacity, and over 18500lb tow rating. 2011 GMC Sierra 2500 had problems with exhaust system, and suffered from high pressure fuel pump failure. 2015 Sierra had headlights problems. So keep an eye out for those. Other model years report few complaints. We suggest following factory recommended maintenance schedule to keep your truck in top shape.
GMC Sierra 3500 Heavy Duty is the answer if you need a one-ton pickup, with max conventional trailering at 20,000lb and even higher gooseneck rating. 2004 GMC Sierra 3500 had sporadic reports of drivetrain problems, and 2015 Sierra 3500 had reports of light problems (something that seems to plague all Sierra models). GMC Acadia is a mid-size crossover SUV that can seat seven people and tow up to 4,000 pounds. It comes with lane change assist, and a rear view camera. Early Acadia models suffered from a variety of issues. Both 2007 and 2008 Acadia models suffered from transmission problems, and engine issues as well. 2010 model owners had to deal with premature wear on of the timing chain, while the 2012 Acadia had problems with a/c not working. GMC Savana Cargo and Passenger vans report few issues, and there is no pattern of failures that we can detect. The Savana Cargo van seats two, along with ample cargo space for the over 3000lb payload, while GMC Savana Passenger van comes with seating for 12. Both offer gasoline and diesel options. GMC Canyon is mid-size pickup truck that can tow up to 7,700 pounds and was Motor Trend's Truck of the Year in 2015 and 2016. Ironically, it turned out that the 2015 GMC Canyon had transmission problems, and power steering failures, while 2016 Canyon also suffered from transmission problems and issues with interior accessories. Other model years report few problems. Go figure.
GMC Terrain is a mid-size crossover SUV that’s both stylish and delivers plenty of performance. J.D. Power and Associates named it 2015 Most Dependable Compact SUV. This is clearly an improvement from the early years – the 2010 GMC Terrain suffered from transmission problems, and both 2010 and 2011 Terrain had issues with excessive engine oil consumption.
