Honda Civic offers affordable price, low ownership cost, and Honda reliability. Having said that, among the recent model years, 2016 stands out for air conditioning problems, and electrical system issues, while 2010 Honda Civic had issues with premature brake wear. Overall, though, most model years show few reports, attesting to the well-known quality of Honda vehicles.
Honda Civic Hybrid, from its introduction in the US in 2002, has continued the Honda tradition, winning International Engine of the Year for the first three years. Honda Fit is a popular subcompact that’s very economical to operate, with highway mileage rating of 40miles per gallon. 2015 and 2016 Fit had electrical problems, specifically starter failure.
Honda CR-V is an extremely popular compact crossover SUV manufactured for over a quarter of a century. 2015 was not a good year for CR-V as it had both engine problems and transmission issues. 2016-2018 models had widely reported engine problems as well.
Honda HR-V is a subcompact SUV, a smaller cousin of the CR-V. 2016 Honda HR-V suffered from a variety of electrical problems. More recent model years have few problem reports.
Honda Accord is the flagship Honda sedan. It’s roomy, and provides comfortable ride, whether you are going across town or on a long road trip. 2008 Accord suffered from brake problems ( premature brake wear) and from engine problems ( excessive oil consumption), while 2013 model suffered from starter failure. More recent models show few problem reports.
Honda Ridgeline is a midsize pickup truck made by Honda. 2017 model has issues with failing fuel injectors, as well as a variety of electrical problems. 2008 Ridgeline had ac/heater problems.
Honda Odyssey minivan has been around for more than a quarter of a century. Fairly compact, as minivans go, it has ample interior space, and Honda quality, although 2014 Odyssey did suffer from transmission problems and brake issues (warped rotors), while 2012 model had engine problems.
